 Compliance

Referees mandate to make sure all the NBA players and crowd complies with the regulations set by the NBA commissioner. Compliance is the act of obeying laws that were set in place.

Obedience

The NBA players must comply with the requests and rulings of the referee. Obedience is complying to an order or request of a more "authoritarian-like" figure. 

Social Facilitation

The crowd at an NBA game can boost the morale of the players on the team by fans showing their support to the home team. Social facilitation is the tendency for the presence of others to improve a person's performance on a task. 

Group Polarization 

The First Take program is a program where two people talk about recent basketball events/games, sharing their thoughts and opinions on players. In this way group polarization is used as they talk to each other to strengthen their attitude on their overall view points.

Reciprocity norms

This is Ray Allen a insane basketball shooter that played from 1996 and retired in 2014. This is a picture of him playing in the 2019 all star celebrity game, coming back to return to the NBA as a favor to the league and to the fans for all the great opportunities both socially and economically that the NBA provided to him.
